Enrolment Requirements:
To enrol in our Micropigmentation Course, students must be at least 18 years of age and no prior experience in the beauty industry is required, although a background in makeup or a related field may be beneficial.
VTCT Level 4 in Micropigmentation
Students may choose to extend their progression of mastering permanent makeup and upgrade their Micropigmentation certificate to qualification – VTCT Level 4 in Micropigmentation. This qualification is the highest and only qualification in permanent makeup and is recognised all over the world. To upgrade it is required for students to have any OFQUAL Level 3 beauty related certificate or equivalent. Our academy offers a short home study VTCT Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology course for learners that do not have Level 3 beauty related certificate or equivalent.
VTCT Level 4 in Micropigmentation requires students to complete written home assignments – 3 topics:
- 1st topic – Management of Health and Safety in the Salon (6 questions)
- 2nd topic – Quality and Management of client care in the hair and beauty salon (16 questions)
- 3rd topic – Enhanced appearance using Micropigmentation treatment (27 questions). Total of 49 questions.
VTCT Level 4 in Micropigmentation requires student to complete practical VTCT assessment:
- Practical assessment – Brows Treatment
- Practical assessment – Lips Treatment
- Practical assessment – Eyeliner Treatment
During upgrade students have their theoretical knowledge and practical skills assessed in the working environment. Artists need to demonstrate good understanding of health and safety, hygiene, client care and consultation and providing specific treatments to suit individual clients needs using Micropigmentation techniques.
On the completion of the upgrade learners will be awarded with VTCT Level 4 in Micropigmentation Diploma, which is NVQ Level 4 qualification.
